Hey There, Fellow Hnaramid!
Hey There,
Fellow Hnaramid!
We are Hnarti, a cultural platform dedicated to exploring and preserving Armenian heritage, particularly Western Armenian, through diverse social, artistic, and cultural projects and events.
Hnarti was founded as a means to reconnect with our roots and explore the profound depth and significance of our cultural heritage. Together, we can prevent our culture from fading away and ensure that our legacy thrives for generations to come.
Join us in this vital mission to preserve and celebrate our unique Armenian heritage!
We frequently get asked, ‘What does “Hnarti” mean?’
‘H(i)n’, meaning ‘ancient’, represents the past
‘Arti’, meaning ‘modern’,
represents the present
Therefore, the name ‘Hnarti’ embodies the platform’s core vision of bridging
our past to our present, on a journey to rediscover our heritage and history.
However, a closer look reveals a hidden word within the name that reflects a deeper meaning.

possible
From here, our two core mottos take root:
“Hnar eh” – “Everything is possible”
“Hnareh” – “Innovate”
These meanings are subtly conveyed through the visual elements of our logo:
Tamar Megrian
Founder
Tamar has an uncanny ability to see the silver lining in every cloud. As a child, she always managed to include both the Armenian tricolor and an array of cats into all her artwork (and she continues this special tradition to this day).
Specialized in Graphic Design and Visual Communication, she channels that colorful enthusiasm into managing projects for Hnarti, where her vibrant creativity, meticulous attention, and steadfast devotion to her heritage are always on display.
Lilit Megrian
Founder
Growing up, Lilit has always viewed her heritage as a large puzzle, waiting to be explored. Between scouring dictionaries for forgotten words and dragging her unsuspecting family into her Armenian video diary, she transformed her fascination into a world of endless possibilities.
With a background in branding and fine arts, Lilit brings a creative and visionary approach to guiding the platform’s development, ensuring that each project thoughtfully connects with both traditional values and modern perspectives.
Vana Zeitounian
Co-Founder
Whether she’s on stage or behind the scenes, Vana’s always buzzing with energy, ready to dive in. When she’s not tending to Hnarti’s day-to-day operations, you might find her exploring and experimenting with recipes from our traditional Armenian cuisine, teaching Armenian History and French, or eagerly jamming away on her drums.
Sevan Zeitounian
Co-Founder
Sevan is a translator with experience across different kinds of content. Outside of work, she spends time in nature, drawing on planting practices passed down through generations. Her heritage from Marash shines through in her intricate embroidery work.
Josette Mansour
Collaborator
When it comes to Josette, the pencil is mightier than the sword. As a talented illustrator, she whips up characters in the blink of an eye. Recently, she has begun exploring animation, giving life to those characters and adding movement to the platform’s stories.
Serena Aoun
Collaborator
Superheros have their capes, we have our Daraz! Serena is our very own Edna Mode, sketching looks for every occasion. Her designs include equal parts heritage and innovation, ensuring that every look feels both rooted in the past yet alive in the present.
Castiel
Head of Paw-sitivity
This ball of fluff is more than an adorable face; he’s Hnarti’s backbone. Armed with a powerful purring engine and a mesmerizing blue gaze, Castiel provides moral and cuddly support to our team. His daily duties include napping on important documents and testing every package box we receive – just for precautionary measures.
